Interlock investigates how a small set of rectangular elements can produce a form with several equally considered elevations. Frames overlap at different depths, creating openings that appear to shift as the model turns. The central void gives the object a sense of permeability despite the weight of its concrete material treatment.
Front and elevated views test the relationship between the outer silhouette and the internal gaps, while darker renders make the recesses more prominent. Part of the Geometricism series, the model is presented as an architectural massing study: a way of exploring composition before assigning a particular use, site or construction system.
